Hanoi, 1 April, 2020 – NEC Vietnam announced that Mr. Tatsuya Oki has been promoted to General Director, NEC Vietnam, effective today, 1 April 2020.

Since joining the NEC Group in 1997, Mr. Oki has held various managerial positions in system engineering and project delivery roles both in Japanese and global markets. This includes his four year assignment in NEC Corporation (Thailand), where he oversaw large-scale system integration projects for the manufacturing and automotive industries.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Oki had been Vice President at NEC Vietnam since 2019 and was responsible for the company’s Service & Delivery operations.

Commenting on his new role, Mr. Oki said, “I’m honored to take on this new role and continue advancing NEC’s business in Vietnam. Since its establishment, NEC Vietnam has successfully built a strong foundation as one of the leading ICT solution providers in the country. I’m committed to building on its success and bringing in more innovative technologies to customers in Vietnam.”

Mr. Oki replaces Mr. Takayuki Kano, who has been leading NEC’s operations in Vietnam since April 2019. Mr. Kano has relinquished his roles in NEC Vietnam, and will continue his current duties as President of NEC Corporation (Thailand).
